Art Guild of Greene County

A Spotlight on Creativity and Artistic Talents

Welcome to the Art Guild of Greene, located in Stanardsville, the Piedmont region of Virginia. The beauty of the county and surrounding area has served as a haven for artists and craftspeople. The beautiful landscapes have attracted poets and painters, jewelers and potters, photographers, musicians, woodworkers, sculptors and more. Check out the Art Guild of Greene entry in the Farm Bureau 'decorate a hay bale' state wide contest...a barn quilt cow on a hay bale. You can find this handsome guy at the Farm Bureau office on Rt 33 in Stanardsville. The Guild is open to artists in every discipline – musicians, dancers, poets, sculptors, writers, actors, painters, word workers, singers, photographers, craftsmen, potters, weavers, jewelers. Membership is open to everyone who enjoys and supports the arts — not only artists, but all with an interest in the arts. The Guild supports and promotes artists in Greene and surrounding areas, organizes exhibits, events and activities that create opportunities for local artists and benefit the community at large, and highlights Stanardsville as a center for the arts.
